2013 Marc Hebrart Special Club Champagne $100

In 1971 a group of twelve growers started an organization called Club de Viticultures Champenois, to promote the concept of terroir and estate bottled, or grower Champagne in France and abroad. In 1999 the group changed their name to Club Trésors de Champagne, but the mission and philosophy has not changed. Today, the group consists of 28 growers, including Marc Hebrart. The growers submit their top selections to a jury of their peers where it must pass the committee’s taste and quality standards. So basically, it’s a Champagne that is judged and reviewed by folks who grow and make Champagne for a living — truly special stuff!

Marc Hebrart’s 2013 Special Club is a blend of 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay. It was disgorged in 2017. Notes of honey, brioche, vanilla, peaches and candied lemon with bright powerful intensity.
