2017 Baudry Chinon Rose, France $22

I know what you’re thinking, rose during the winter? Absolutely, because if you love it then by all means drink it but make it a good one. Bernard Baudry is one of my favorite Chinon producers and this Cabernet Franc based rose is absolutely delightful. The Cabernet Franc is sourced from 30 year-old vines rich in silex soils which infuses the wine with a mineral undertone and a rich texture along with aromas of dried rose petals, wild strawberries and pepper. It’s an easy-to-drink style that is also very food friendly. It’s sure to please the rose lover in your life.
